Before surgery
A pre-operative consultation to discuss symptoms, review imaging, and confirm surgery is right for you, followed by blood tests and anaesthetic assessment.
The operation
Performed under general anaesthetic via three to four incisions under 1cm each. The da Vinci® system allows exceptional precision around the bile duct and surrounding structures.
Recovery
Most patients go home the same day or next morning, returning to light activity within days and full activity within two to three weeks.

Consultant Robotic, Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Upper GI and General Surgeon with extensive experience in biliary and gallbladder surgery. He holds a PhD in Clinical Surgery, two Master's degrees, and has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers.
He trained through the North West London academic programme at Imperial College, completed a Royal College of Surgeons fellowship, and undertook visiting fellowships at the Mayo Clinic (USA) and the University of Strasbourg (France). Every patient is treated personally by Mr Fehervari from consultation through to follow-up.
